Lifetime Warranty

Iris + Mill Lifetime Warranty

At Iris + Mill, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our fine jewelry. Every piece we manufacture is designed to last a lifetime, which is why we proudly back our collections with a comprehensive Lifetime Warranty against all manufacturing defects.

Our warranty applies to all Iris + Mill manufactured fine jewelry, ensuring that your investment is fully protected against flaws in materials or workmanship.

What Is Covered

Our Lifetime Warranty covers structural and craftsmanship defects, including:

  • Component failures or weak solder joints.

  • Manufacturing defects in metal castings or settings.

  • Improperly secured gemstone settings existing at the time of delivery.

If your jewelry is found to have a manufacturing defect upon inspection by our master jewelers, Iris + Mill will repair or replace your item entirely free of charge.

What Is Not Covered

Jewelry is naturally subject to wear and tear over time, especially pieces worn daily like rings. Our warranty is focused on manufacturing flaws and does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, including scratches, metal discoloration from chemicals, or standard prongs wearing down over years of use.

  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse, neglect, improper storage, or theft.

  • Loss of a center stone or accent gemstones resulting from impact, physical trauma, or catching a prong on an external object.

  • Modifications, resizing, or repair work performed by a third-party jeweler outside of Iris + Mill.

(Note: If your jewelry experiences accidental damage or standard wear not covered by our warranty, we are always happy to provide an affordable, transparent repair quote to restore your piece to its original beauty.)

How to Initiate a Warranty Assessment

We want the service process to be as fast, predictable, and transparent as possible.

Step 1: Contact Support Email our customer care team at support@irisandmill.com with your order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos of the item.

Step 2: Shipping & Assessment Deposit To securely transport and evaluate your fine jewelry, we provide an insured, trackable shipping label. A flat $50 shipping and evaluation deposit is required to initiate this process.

Step 3: Inspection & Resolution Timeline Once your item arrives safely at our facility in Pittsburgh, PA, our master jewelers will inspect the piece within 5 to 7 business days to determine the cause of the damage:

  • If a Manufacturing Defect is Found: Your item will be repaired or replaced at no charge. The $50 shipping deposit will be 100% fully refunded to your original payment method, making the entire process completely free.

  • If the Damage is Due to Wear/Accident: We will email you an honest, detailed repair quote.

    • If you approve the quote, your $50 deposit will be applied directly toward the cost of the repair.

    • If you decline the quote, the $50 deposit is used to cover the exact cost of the fully insured return shipping to safely send your item back to you.

Clarification on Materials & Catalog Items

Our manufacturing warranty applies directly to all standard solid 10K and 14K gold items featured in our main catalog, including all of our natural diamond and lab-grown diamond fine jewelry collections.

This policy explicitly excludes unique antique, pre-owned vintage items, or delicate non-diamond organic natural stones (such as pearls or opals) which require specialized care separate from standard precious metal and diamond manufacturing rules.
